Level 5 complete, thank goodness, that was a bad level.

Lost a few pots, the trouble with having chips is I play hands.

Blinds now 200-400, have got 16,500, which is fine, but I don't need many levels like that.

Not sure whether to post this here or on the making things diary, but your interest in planes won out

it's just a short piece about some guys in the North East building a Spitfire

Level 6 complete, last break of the day, blinds go 250-500 now.

Terrible level, all due to one hand which cost me plenty.

I 3 bet with A-A-2-3 and got called.

Flop was the super but ugly A-2-3, he checked to me and I could not resist betting out, he has to have a very narrow range to call. He raised, and I had to yield.

12,000 now, need to steady the ship, but I have to keep playing my hands.

2 more levels today.

Man of the moment George Danzer has arrived at my table, and is BB to my button.

Flushy is out, very unlucky, and Mr Kimber took a bad hit but still has around 7,000.

Think Stu Rutter has plenty.

Bumped into Greek Jack and At It Bradders.

George Danzer is absolutely running the table, and has trebled up since he arrived. He is in almost every pot, so there are no soft spots now.

Lovely to watch, but a mare to play against,

Sure thing I kinda agree Redsgirl, but it's really not helpful to have those feelings at the poker table. When Kendall gets short he needs to fight like a dog for every chip. Any poker player cringing with embarrassment/feeling unworthy has no kind of ideal mentality imo.

Generally, I think we do need to feel embarrassment as you say, but it's when that emotion seaps into lots of trivial areas that it becomes a hindrance. Going for a night out and drinking something you don't want is undoubtedly being overly sensitive to others. It's all about balance right? Everybody has an equal right to exist and you should forgive yourself to do as you please if you aren't hurting anybody.

Have really enjoyed this exchange, with you, Redsgirl & myself, but I have to correct you there, your implied assumption is incorrect.

Nobody fights more to the very last chip than me, even if my methods might be unconventional & not really optimal.

If that were not the case, & I was over embarrassed about returning with 5 or 6 Bigs, I would have chucked them in at the end of Day One. I once scooped £27,000 after returning for Day Two with 2.5 Bigs.

It's just a peer presure thing, "nits" (& I am one) are generally not respected in poker. So I'm conscious of the mocking, but in truth, I am not fussed. I just wished I had a better game, a bit more flair, & could mix it when the chips are flying. I need decent cards & a bit of run-good, thats all.

A most interesting exchange of views, though.

I want to add my two penneth to this debate but I really can't be arsed to write anything atm.

Just got quartered for my entire stack with nut/2nd nut v nut/nut.

4,500 now, will have to take a spin, preferably v George, who has a very wide range.

Doubled up.

Jammed an opener with my K-10-4-2 double suited, was in shocking shape against A-K-2-4 lol but scooped with my 10!

10,000 @ 300-600 as we start the last level of the day.
