Noisy table again?

Very, but pleasantly so.

Sorry I could not get across to see you today in your Buffalo Bills shirt. How you getting on?

Started with 40,000.

Doubled up second hand of the tournament, after my rivered set of jacks beat the flopped set of sixes.

Later won a big one to get to 120k.

Then lost one (apparently you can lose big pots as well as win them) to be down to 53,300 at the dinner break.

Still plenty.

Had the mispleasure of the company of a pro player today, whose etiquette did not reflect the ambassadorial role their badge advertised. That person has got knocked out, fortunately for all concerned.

It wasn't Mr Channing, don't worry!

Nice work Simon, keep it up.

Had a torrid 3 levels, and despite sitting on 26,000 early, could not do a thing right, and was soon down to a mere 13,000.

Table is seriously aggro. This table has lost 5 players in 3 levels, and the latest fella to join us is on his fifth bullet. That's five bullets, in 3 levels, in a $1,100 affair.

Fella to my right is taking the piss, raising relentlessly, so when he bet into me and I had A-A-3-3 it looked the perfect spot. We were all in pre, he had K-K for his high and, remarkably, A-3 for the low, so I got three quarters of the 26,500 pot, and we are back to starting.

Phew, what a relief. Busting inside 3 levels in a $1,100 comp would have done morale no good at all.

Paul Jackson is on the adjacent table right opposite Miss Hoang and appears to be concentrating hard.

Just dusted off 12,000.

  Two Diamonds

Flop.....

Flips don't come much better, we were 3 way and I made them pay the max to see turn and river.

The run out was a catastrophic

Too many outs to count but missed the chuffing lot.

Back to 14,600.

This is so aggro.

First break came and went, level 5, 300-500 now.

First hand after the break another 5,000 went south after I missed every draw after a monster flop, so big trouble now with 9,800, which is ~20 Bigs.

Got to find a hand, ideally with a raiser in front of me for leverage, and see if we can win a flip.

Win that and we are back to starting, lose it and it's all over baby. Easy game.

Just 70 entries so far, and a quarter or more of them will be re-entries.

6 tables left, and I assume only the final table, or maybe a few more, will get paid, so might as well gamble.

Wow.

Raise with.....

A-K-K-4

We see this beauty....

2-3-5

All the chips go in and he has the A-4-6-7 for nut nut and we get a quarter with the flopped wheel.

This is purgatory.

Fumes now.

Ha.

Full 2xUp after a scoopio, immediately followed by that rarest of beasts a 3 way SCOOPIO. Even MANTIS's dog can't beat that.

17,000, and right back in the mix.

Can't begin to tell you how good that feels.

Morning chaps.

It's a beautiful sunrise here, the dawn chorus is in full swing, Tony Blackburn's Sounds Of The Sixties is on the wireless and the kettle is on the stove. (it's on the lectric really but that's not nearly so romantic)

A monster 4 way pot on my table which was scooped busts 3 players and decimates the table, so our table breaks and we are down to just 5 tables.

Crikey Tom, up at 0430?

Lovely time of year in England to be up early.

Just gone dark here, and its still suffocatingly hot. (38c).

4:30 is a great time of day. I've got the world to myself for a couple of hours.

Just you and the blackbirds, busy squabbling over territory.
