More likely that I have, Claire, but I believe that is Jamie Oliver, on a tour of Aussie, where he is lecturing on healthy eating. I think.....

Of course, I am probably wrong, and gattters is preparing to give me some serious grief.

ah yeah, I see it now.  wouldn't have recognised him in a million years though.

don't worry, gatso is on his holidays.

Let us be clear, Claire - he has NOT put any weight on. His spokesmam cofirmed that, 100%.

He even called the lady who said as much a "bitch". So there, watch your mouth, please.

From the "Herald Sun"......

Jamie Oliver has called a journalist who quizzed him about his weight a "bitch".

The celebrity chef - who is promoting healthy eating in Australia - hit back at a reporter who asked if he had gained a few pounds since his last trip Down Under.

According to the Herald Sun, he said: "I don't know. I am very healthy. I think the last time I had a filling in my teeth, which was quite recently, I was in good nick. But really, I am not really sure.

"Are you from a tabloid? Thank you for noticing, you bitch."

But he admits he wasn't thinking clearly having had a "few drinks" the night before.

The question came about after pictures emerged of Jamie looking bloated when landing in Australia to launch the country's first Ministry of Food -  a school that provides free cooking classes in a bid to encourage healthy eating.

His US spokesman Kimberly Yorio insists Jamie has not piled on the pounds. She told ABC News: "I can say for a fact he hasn't gained any weight. They were bad pictures."

Sainsburys will be well impressed.

If it says it is, it must be, but it does not look like one to me.

The Range Rover Convertible, as exhibited in the Geneva Motor Show.

There is also, would you believe, a Bentley SUV? Yikes.

probably the most ugly convertible I have ever seen!

Hard to imagine anything worse. I guess it might look better with the top up. Or covered in a tarp.

Jamie and Sainsbury's parted company last year Tony, the last advert was shown at C*******s. I'd copy something over if I could but the lappy is not for pasting! Seems he wanted to spend more time with the Jamie Oliver Foundation, it seems he also had a couple of heated discussions, one at least concerning battery chickens, the split seemed amicable.

You recently had a little discussion on shelving books vertically or horizontally.

Sometimes I see the sense in stacking them horizontally as no neck arching is needed to scan the shevles for what you want.

Someone took it a step further.

I think you posted something like this before

Just got this today.

Hi *****

We've noticed that you have not used your account for the last 6 months and want to make you aware of the dormant account policy in our terms and conditions:

12. If you have not placed a bet using your account for a period of one hundred and eighty days your account shall deemed to be dormant. Similarly if we have frozen your account for such a period it shall be considered dormant. If your account is categorised as dormant and there is a credit balance on the account, then we will use all reasonable endeavours to contact you to determine your wishes in respect of those unutilised funds. If you have not placed a bet or withdrawn the funds 14 days after this contact is made then any funds will be removed.

Please log in to your account and use your available funds or we will be required to remove them. Should you require any assistance to access your account please contact us - we will be happy to help.

Thanks,

The totepool.com team

Love that bit in bold, why charge a fiver or 5% when you can just take the lot?  Do they really think people will read this and think totepool must be a great place to bet?  Surely somebody there could stop for two minutes and ask how they'd react if they received such an email?

Needless to say I have tried to remove my cash 3 times today, and it keeps failing.

I had a dormant account on another poker site for several years close to the author of this diary and all it took was some serious spamming gentle persuassion to get me to restart.

Replies from above, later, or soonest.

Am i Brigton, home of Flushy, Jen, & Sam Razavi, for tomorrow's SPT shindig.

Tonight @ 7pm, a proper meal in the Rendezvous Restaurant - comped by the Manager if you don't mind - with Thewy & 2 female colleagues from work. And yes, Tom, they have a new Manager down here, or we would not be here.  Seems a decent chap, almost normal.

Later, the evening Tourney, though there is an Omaha cash game lined up for 9pm. I can manage both.

Flushy has sorted out a special cash game in my honour, lined up a reserved seat & everything. There is so much kindness in poker, eh?

He sent me a lovely text, too. "Bring loads of money, the Brighton poker economy needs Q-E".

How nice.

Oddly, whilst I am in Jen Mason's home town this evening, she just rung me, quite by chance, & un-connected with my trip down here. She is in California.

Disastrously blank day for the Diary, but time has beaten me, & the evening awaits.

I'll be back online just as soon as that nice Flushy has attended to my financial situation.
