Looking ahead to the August league we can announce the following:

* All competitions throughout the month will now be at 8.30pm, following player feedback

* The schedule is as follows, all $5+ 0.50c again, all password protected

Thurs 2nd Virgin

Tues 7th blonde

Thurs 9th Virgin

Tues 14th blonde

Thurs 16th Virgin

Tues 21st blonde

Thurs 23rd Virgin

Tues 28th blonde

Thurs 30th Virgin

* The prize to the winning team, anmd the best player over the month in that team, is a seat into September's GUKPT Plymouth worth £1050 plus some expenses.

* For the winners of the first TWO league events only, over and above the added value from the prize fund, Virgin are kindly offering seats to their Virgin festival to the winners

* Details of the Virgin festival are as follows


Main Event

-        Saturday 24th + Sunday 25th November

-        £100 + £5 Buy-in but entry through qualification only (no direct Buy-in)

-        £5,000 added to the prize pool

-        Deep structure (10,000 starting stack + 40 min blinds TBC)

-        Location: Broadway Casino, Birmingham

-        Capacity: Approx 300

-        Bounties: There will be various Virgin bounties in the field such as cases of Virgin wine, Virgin voucher, Virgin experience days out (rally days, hot air ballooning, etc).

-        Bad Beat Bounty: The player suffering the worst bad beat of the event will win a return flight to Vegas.


Details to be confirmed but other activities will include:

·         2 side events.

o        One Sat + one Sunday.

o        Both low buy-in (£20 to £40).

o        Both have added value of a return flight to Vegas.

·         Bar promos

·         A few novelty side events

 

How to get a seat

-        No direct buy-in

-        Have to qualify by:

o        Winning a seat through satellites on Virgin ($2.50 daily to $23 weekly [1 live seat for every 10 player] or $11 super sats [1 live seat for every 21]). These begin in August.

o        Promo week freerolls on Virgin (w/c 30th July).

o        Through the blonde Virgin team challenge in August.


* Finally we will need confirmation of teams for next month's League before 1st August pls. Team captains can post on this tread or PM if their team is remaining unchanged, or changes made. New teams are welcomed

* If you want to join a team, post on this thread, and I am sure you will be taken care of either by an existing team or by formation fo a new one.
