Well its not arrival from cybertron or the 'Movie' but the new Transformers film is top stuff.

Real big screen action - Michael Bay has really done my childhood memory proud.

Some great lines and voices for the G1 fans and visually possibly the best CGI film I have ever seen.

Pack up the kids and take yourself to a Holywood cinema (they seem to have broken the embargo a week early) and sit back and watch earth be saved on a Sunday afternoon - it will help you forget the rain.

Watched it online a couple of weeks back, definitely going to watch it on the big screen.

Given Bay's record of amazingly cheesy tripe I wasn't expecting much. Thankfully he proved me wrong and has made a fantastic bubble gum action movie.
The film captured mood of the robots really well compared to the original cartoon, the noise whent they transform, the voices all spot on.
Plus some very cool SFX. CGI seems to have reached a level now where it is so good it's impossible to spot it's not real.

Annoying that my place of work gets involved in stuff like harry potter and never gets a sniff of work on films like this.

Anyone know if there are any sequals planned?

Bay has option on next two I believe.

And yes Boo the Lady in the film is very lovely.

I just watched the movie after a lengthy DL, but what a fantastic movie, Had the feel of the Generation 1 cartoon which is 20 years old now.

I am looking forward to number 2.

Yeah, easily the cheesiest blockbuster ever made. However it has the best action scenes and defining CG since T2, a quality film and I'm not even a TF fan. The $150m budget looks more like $300m and Megan Fox is a total schwing. Cannot believe my jakey mate slept thru it all.

Went to see this last night, brilliant! I can see why some people think it may be cheesy american humour, but the effects are stunning and if you take it for what it is then you cannot leave the cinema without a smile of your face... Reminded me a lot of Independance Day...
