Always amazes me that what some think is really good others find absolute tripe.........

wow, i wish i was that easily amazed

i have to wait for natural phenomenon or trancendental politics usually to be amazed but for you its a simple differing in musical tastes.

you might want to stay clear of listening to desert island disks or watching never mind the buzzcocks, you might go into a coma through shock.

Old:

This was a B-side to one of her singles in the early 90s.  Haven't heard it in years but then had an urge to go looking for it.  Good old YouTube came up trumps as usual.

New(ish):

Best current band around by a country mile.  Thank God they're touring again soon.

since I recently treated myself to some new posh hifi equipment I have been listening to a wider variety of music. Certain tracks keep demanding replay :

Al Stewart : Year of the cat
Martha Reeves/Vandellas : Heatweave
The Cavaliers : Hold on to my baby
The Pogues : Old main drag
Jeff Buckley : Grace

There is a wealth of this husky voiced acoustic stuff around right now, trouble is they were beaten to it by Jones/Morrison/Blunt/Nitini (sp?) etc. is there room left?
