i'm reading volume 1 of Harrington on Hold 'Em at the moment.  Definitely worth a read if you are a tournament player.

Both of them are excellent books - Book 1 covers the early/middle stages of a tournament, book 2 covers the 'endgame'.

Be warned - book 2 continues on from book 1 (it starts at chapter 8 ) so you probably need to have read book 1 to get the most out of the book 2.

Watch out for the typos. Both books are infested with them.

Most are trivial, but I can think of at least one that made  a (red) dog's dinner out of the example. Hopefully the second printing will correct this. For all I know, they may already have reprinted.

"Infested" seems a little harsh, admittedly there are one or two typos, but hardly enough to damage the content.

IMHO of course.

Look at HOH 2 hand 10-7.

'You' are in the BB. You are first to act before the flop......strange game they're playing!

Blinds 200/400; antes 800; pot 200.......200+400+800=200?? Antes 100 each with a 200 SB??

'You are the big stack'......with the smallest stack at the table per the diagram

'M of 24' ......no it isn't

Once you realise that the diagram contains all the right info but in the wrong place it begins to make sense, but it took me 15 minutes before the penny dropped.
