Always struck me as a dour, unhappy  manager

Had a good record with West Brom, but i remember him falling out with the chairman there i'm sure.

He has been bought in as a "yes" man IMO. His first job in management was at Norwich where he was Robert Chase's lapdog, he lost his job when Chase got fed up with the constant protests against his chairmanship and jumped ship himself.
