well....I didn't actually get to see that flat after all - the landlord didn't turn up to let me in and I couldn't hang around as I had to collect my daughter.  I didn't really like the look of it from the outside anyway.  But....I did go to see another flat yesterday - bigger and in a much better location.  It needs a good clean and a lick of paint but it's relatively cheap because of that.  I've said I want to take it, and am just waiting to hear back from the agents, so fingers crossed, and I could be in there soon.....

A big pan of home made chilli and a home game in the evening will ensure a whole gang of blonde decorators, professional and not so, descending on your new place. We could get this done in a day! lol

More good news Smiley  When I saw the flat I said I was willing to pay the asking price of £750 a month knowing what work needed doing (these flats usually go for £850).  I got a call from the agents today saying that the flat is mine, subject to references, at only £700 and the landlord is in there now cleaning and painting Cheesy  Hopefully I'll be in there before too long - Jim and Robert - I'll let you know about that home game and the need to bring paintbrushes or not Cheesy

Absolutely THRILLED for you!!!  Fair play to the lads for offering to help too.

What a great week.  Everything just seems to be falling into place for everyone after some long hauls on bumpy roads.
