Jayde and Jazz, would like a laptop for xmas.

We don't really want to spend that much on one as I know, they will use it very little really,a small amount of surfing for homework, playing games, and the old msn chit chatting to mates.

I have seen one in Asda for £350.00,and a couple of other places for the same price.

Is it a total waste of money buying one that cheap? or will this be ok for the kids?

Thanks in advance

350 for a laptop should be ok for kids

mine wasnt that much more and is 18 months old

aslong as they arent going to be playing graphic intessive games it should be fine

it they were wanting it for games they would be better with desktops as laptops arent great for games

One more question XP or vista?

Not a simple question. Couple of big threads on this a few months ago.

My overall opinion, go for vista, why pay for the older version. And most of the problems are with incompatible hardware which you shouldn't get with a new PC! This was not agreed with by most though!

Well i havnt had the chance to fool around with vista, but if you arent going to be playing intense games on the laptop then you may as well do what rich said and go for vista.

I won't touch vista for a couple years because i like my computer games Cheesy
