I'm making heavy weather of finishing this motley crue off

End of Over 27: 131-6, runrate=4.85, reqrunrate=8.70 (330-2)
Ewart 4-0-14-1
Hartford* 10 (12 balls)
Johnston 4 (6 balls)

Last Wicket: Mohammed c. Hadland b. Austin 5 (FOW: 120/6)

Also noticing that oneof the revitalised bots is looking like beating the side level on points with me, so looks like I will have to put out a full strength side next week if I want a result

beware of the bot.......

A game from my group with a bot who is bottom of our division without a win playing the team in 6th place but who is having PFL issues - the bot teams have now all been given "fresh" PFL's. The bot batted first:

End of Over 50: 337-4, runrate=6.74
Halford 10-0-50-2
Forrest* 56 (39 balls)
Horstead 6 (7 balls)

Last Wicket: Higginbotham c. Hughes b. Halford 73 (FOW: 321/4)

and the reply from the 6th place team:

All out for 93........  Shocked

I'm just about in control of my game - one or two more wickets and i'm into his "drained" bowlers.

End of Over 33: 206-3, runrate=6.24, reqrunrate=9.76 (371-1)
Mercer 10-0-39-1
Anthony* 110 (103 balls)
Stratford 0 (3 balls)

Last Wicket: Ayles c. Mercer b. Kenny 10 (FOW: 205/3)

They stuck together and we've won by seven wixkets!!! Yesssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cohen has started to put together some big scores in recent weeks; it's really nice to have three batsmen capable of delivering match-winning innings Wink

Must go. nose-rubbing press release to write Smiley

GL all still playing.

36.3 W Gillan to Anthony
That's in the air and... out! Malcolm won't get an easier catch all game.

The wicket of his only decent batsman left - out for 120 and with it i reckon my opponents chances Smiley

Phew - should be ok now!

48.1 W Hakeem to Folkes
Huge yorker! He had no chance with that one, Mills shields his face as the stumps explode from out of the ground, Folkes was rooted. Hakeem is delighted with that, and he has every reason to celebrate.

48.4 W Hakeem to Roberts
Stupid run there. Roberts was nowhere near the crease. Now he's got dust all over his jumper, his mother won't be happy.

and a nice way to finish....

49.6 W Berry to Hlompho
He's behind you!!! No seriously, thin edge from Hlompho and Mills celebrates one of the easiest catches he'll take all season.

And that's the end of the match. Matts Monkeys won by 11 runs.

Blimey Matt... you know how to make them exciting!
1st v 3rd with me in 1st at home

Batting first, my lot made 344-4 with my med/comp batter at no 4 ( playing as he seems to score a hell of a lot of runs) hitting 142 from 111 deliveries, and my no 5, in his first competitive match, making 117no from 110. 4th wicket partnership of 259 also a record.

Bowled them out for 98 in 29 overs, with wickets nicely spread, with my spinner going for less than 2 an over Smiley

I am now 16 points clear of 3rd, so a playoff is all but guaranteed.

1st v 2nd at home in 2 weeks time, and they only just scraped past a BOT today

23/11/2007     Played a match and received £91005 in gate receipts. highest by more than £10k, with just under 13k people watching also a record.
