Bluesq.com GUKPT Grand Final: Day 1A - Interactive

Welcome to the final GUKPT event of the year, the Grand Final at the Victoria Casino in London. This one is the biggy so for that reason, and also the sheer distance from the pressroom to the cardroom, there will be three of us covering this event. (Well the beagle will be getting the final day off).
By now, you're probably wondering what that item at the top of the page is. Well, now I'll tell you, it's the brand new Blonde clock that Bongo and I came up with a couple of months ago and have managed to implement into the updates. Basically, it works like any other tournament clock you're likely to see in a casino and will run in real time, and the updaters will manually keep it up to date during a tournament. So, no more needing to ask about the number of runners left, the blinds or indeed how much time left in this level. Yes, less work for everyone, hurrah! It's also exclusive to the Blonde updates,
(Until the other sites all nick it off us)
.
Since it's a Grand Final, you're allowed to have three picks, one of whom must be a GUKPT champion from this year:
My ones are:
Jerome Bradpiece
Henning Granstad
Dan Carter
With the buy-in starting at £3,000, this should weedle out all but the best players, and hopefully set us up with a high class field and some top quality play.
I think Flushy is playing too.
Play will start at
the ungodly time of
1.30pm. Come and join us!

Agreed Kin - it's going to really increase my enjoyment of the Blonde updates. We should have a much better feel for what's happening. Well done Snoops, Bongo and Blonde!

Should be a corking update, love the clock
Three final picks:
Julian Thew, seems safer to pick him than not
Ian Cox, ditto
and for the blonde trifecta, Jeff Kimber

Greetings all from the discomfort of my own car, fresh off my DTD baptism and bracing myself to rejoin the UK's most tedious journey - Nottingham to Hampstead. If you like the M1 and are a fan of driving straight... for long periods of time, then boy oh boy, is this the route for you!
As for Dusk Till Dawn, what a joint, and what an achievement from Rob Yong and co! All those involved should give themselves a firm pat on the back and bask in the satisfaction that whatever they do now in life, they're taking one hell of an accolade to their graves.
The place is superb. Forget all those dingy cardrooms you've been to thus far, DTD is head and shoulders above them all - the only comparison I can think of is the Concord Card Casino, and if DTD can receive half the amount of praise that place does, then they'll be happy chappies.
I don't have time to pen a full report just yet, that will come later, but what I will say is that the attention to detail in the place is tremendous, and they truly are catering for the poker public rather than their own pockets. A rarity indeed in the world of business.
If you're haven't pencilled in a visit yet, I strongly urge you do so. It's the mutt's nuts.
