Are you going to give us your opinion of those horses Tom ?
Was pic 3 a "champion" ?
How good do you think that foal is, and
will I be declared the winner if it turns out to be top notch next year ?
Where does the "musketeer" filly stand in the pecking order ?
Objection!
In the case of the Foal - The Witness is asking leading questions of the Judge.
As to Musketeer - The Witness is attempting to establish information that is not before the Forum for his own financial ends.
This is intolerable.

Well I said
"One of you got two right, with one of those spot on. The other got all three right, but in the wrong order."
What "Pecking order" would fit that criteria Ralph?
OBJECTION!
Is the Judge familiar with the Witness. Could he be?
I demand parity with.....well, parity.

With respect, my learned friend - sorry - Judge - it was not I who posed the question, it was the scoundrel Karabiner, attempting, if I may make so bold, to alter the outcome of the case, & pump you for information, a practice you specifically debarred me from doing.
If I lose this bet, it's entirely possible that I'll throw a strop & have a major hissy fit.

Last year, I dismantled one of the two old railway carriages that were on the land when I bought it. It took 3 days and it was a real pig of a job.
Still, It had been a very useful shed, and I was sorry to see it broken up and scrapped.
One of the blokes from the village (A fellow member of the environment group) spent 3 days helping me to do the dismantling. I didn't ask him to, he just came and did it.
When we got finished, he asked me if he could salvage some of the old ironwork. Of course I was glad for him to have it.
Yesterday he took me down to his allotment to show me this shed that he had built using the salvaged iron.
I was really pleased to see that it had avoided the scrapyard, and would now be more than likely to remain in active service for another 100 years.

Well yes Tom it can be easily worked out that pic 3 is the best horse, and the "musketeer" the best filly in the photos that you posted, and thusly that Tony's other pick is the third best, but only out of those photos.
How good are they in the grand scheme of the breed, and where do they stand in the pecking order of the stock which is available today ?
This is harder that pulling teeth
Do you feel morally bound to keep these opinions to yourself ?

My brain hurts, it must be these anti-biotics.
Do you know that one of the possible side-effects if you consume alcohol with them is death !
Right, I have assumed that Tony got all three right but in the wrong order with a little assistance about the musketeer filly which he placed second. I had the musketeer third in my list, and I am assuming again that the foal picked by me in second was a poor choice although time may yet prove me right.
Okay, I give up. I'm going for my afternoon nap....

I go to London today for what I hope is my penultimate dental treatment.
This time, I'm going to take the train. (Last time when I took the car I left home at 11am and didn't get home until 9pm) My appointment is at 4pm, so I bought one of those cheap open returns (£42) I'm not allowed to travel between 4pm and 7pm but that should work out OK.
The round trip will still take just as long by train, but at least I will be able to relax instead of sitting in traffic jams for hours on end.
It will cost about the same too. By car I have to pay £10 for parking, and that's cheap, (I have a mush squared) and it costs me about £30 in diesel.
Diesel is £1.20 per litre, I can't believe it. £1.20 FFS!! I can remember not so long ago people were saying "It will be £1 a gallon soon" to which the reply was "Never" "We won't be able to live" or "We'll never live"
"We won't be able to live" is a "Fits most scenario's" sort of "in joke" amongst Gypsies, and is usually accompanied by a wry smile. The implied irony being "We've lived through everything else"
"We'll never live" actually means, "We'll get through it somehow"
I don't know if I've explained that last bit very well, sometimes it's hard to know if people will understand what you mean when you're writing from the inside.
I'm taking my likkle tiny lappy with me today. I want to try it out on the train. Do you get WIFI in steerage class, or will I have to resort to my dongle? (No making your own jokes up)
