WW2 image of the day

I would love to know the story behind that picture.

Good find Geo, but I'm struggling to believe that it's true. Even a starving donkey must weigh a few hundredweight.

The French aren't that strong surely?

This post replaces the one where I tell you just how unfair the game can seem, and how I sometimes feel like never ever ever playing again.

Today, while you're watching the tennis and the football, spare a thought for those less fortunate than yourself who have to go to a wedding.

The power supply for Mrs Red's lap top makes a sound like someone sending Morse code. It's very quiet, I can only hear it when there is no other noise, but it's continuous, day and night.

Does anyone have an explanation?  I think the Russians planted it.

(Just because I'm paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not out to get me)

I RAISE.

Name me a time when Mrs Red is at home (& thus using her Lappie) when there is "no other noise".

That's an excellent, but flawed observation. She leaves it plugged in when she's not here.

I unplugged it once because it got on my freppeny's but that got me into all sorts of trouble. The next day, her lappie conked out while she was in the middle of bidding for a large pink fascinator that was being auctioned on eBay.

By the time she had re-booted, it was sold.

She was bidding for a fascinator? What? You mean like one of those hat things?

I've heard it all now.

Count how many bits of scampi on the plate & chunter about it for 17 pages of the Diary, spend 7 years regretting getting rid of your 35 year old lawn-mower, & buy Fascinators.

Now't queer as Tykes.

I'm not OCD but details like that annoy me.

BTW I thought I was following you down the M1 the other day. Turns out you're no the only one with a blue camper with tinted windows.
