There is such pleasure/drama/beauty (Insert your own noun) in nature for those who make the effort to observe it.

The double glazing keeps any outside sound out of our house normally, but when it gets warmer like now we keep the window open a bit and tend to fall asleep to the sound of sheep and wake up to the dawn chorus and the sound of cows It is not relaxing - but it is ... cool How is Science Wife BTW?  She is in her second year now teaching at a new school and they're trying to persuade her to go for a Head of Year job. But she thinks she's too young for a management job so she's resisting so far  Wow! All that and she still has time to change her hair colour between posts. |

FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKK!!
Every time I watch a drama type series in TV it starts with a very dramatic scene which runs for about 30 seconds then it cuts to
6 months earlier....
Then I have to wait until the final episode of the series to get back to that part, all the while knowing exactly where things are going.
Why?
Why can't they just tell the story in chronological order?

Their food, politics and general way of life I find are not for me. "Thin veneer of civilisation" sums it up completely. Retiring this year I'm going to find new, more interesting countries to visit. Especially those with delicious food. |

It's funny how people use language. I'm sitting on a highstree bench near a Burger King and I've heard a couple of people say, "Let's grab a coffee".
Grabbing a coffee seems like such a dangerous thing to do.
