How did your team do in the transfer business in january ?

Celtic did well bringing in 5 players and offloading 1 , Thomas Hinkel from Sevilla , Giorgos Samaras from Man City , Koki Mizuno from JEF United , Barry Robson from Dundee United  and Ben Hutchinson from Middlesbrough  , with Jiri Jarosik exiting

good strengthening of the squad and Mizuno in particular looks like an exciting prospect

Rangers brought in 2 players and let 2 go Christian Dailly from West Ham and Steve Davis from Fulham , with Hutton joining Spurs and Carroll joining Derby

Cousin's proposed move to Fulham fell through and their proposed signing of Carraciolo also fell through after he decided to opt for a loan deal with Serie B side Brescia

Any opinions on Odhiambo & Maybury?

De Vries has joined up with Craig Levein again at Dundee Utd, he seems to have got the most out of him in the past.

Odihambo is a brisk young striker, but lightweight

Nowhere near even our challenged first team

Maybury, did very well with Levein at Hearts but it never really worked with us (as the vast majority of Leveins Scottish signings didn't)  A solid workmanlike utility back who really should have been sold 18 months ago. I think he is League One standard these days at best

De Vries tries hard but was too much of a cart-horse in the CHampionship where his physical strength was neutered by the mammoths he was upa gainst!

IN

Christian Dailly (Loan)
Neil Alexander - Undisclosed
Steve Davis (Loan)

OUT

Alan Hutton - £9m
Daniel Cousin - £3m Deal still to be confirmed by FIFA but looks like it will be given the go ahead
Roy Carroll - Free
Ugo Ehiogu - Free

Could have been worse I guess.  Not sure how but I'm sure it could have been.

I have no idea what Newcastle have done... still getting mixed reports as to whether deals actually happened or not. My best guess is:

Ben Tozer - Defender
Tamas Kadar - Defender
Wesley Baheng - Striker
Olof Soderberg - Keeper
Fabio Zamblera - Attack Mid/Forward

All youngsters, hopefully with bags of potential and who can relaise that potential over the next three years.

Celtic really could have been doing with getting a left back in.

Won't be expecting much this season from Mizuno & Hutchison as they are for the future.
Samaras could could go either way, Robson looks like this years Paul Hartley.
Hinkel looks the pick of the bunch but he needs to get fit first.

I thought Rangers would have done more business & if they lose the league Murray will get lynched.

EDIT

Breaking news

Zurawski leaves Celtic for Greek side Larissa for 500k

Tighty,is that a polite way of saying De Vries is absolute shite?
