One player who always seems to go deep in these events is Nicky 'Stewey' Power. Although Dan Bolton is your current chip leader, Stewey isn't too far away, his latest encounter seeing what I believe must have been a circa 125k pot go sailing his way. With the board reading
, all the chips flew in with Joe Gallacher's
in dyer need of a miracle Ace on the River against Stewey's
. Gallacher's expression told it all really, and he never appeared confident of spiking that dramatic Bullet as the River threw out a brick in the form of the
. Monster monster pot, as one annoying football agent might say.

With 22 left (blinds 1.5/3k) and for the first time today, the action has finally calmed down and instead of roars of "all-in!" every ten seconds, there's an eerie silence across the three tables, just the riffling of chips and the odd bit of banter (mainly involving Nicky Power) breaking the quiet. Perhaps it's because we're nearing the nitty gritty, or maybe the presence of team mates hanging over their shoulders like vultures is increasing the pressure, but the players have certainly gone into total focus mode, with each decision becoming a calculated, carefully thought out one. No one wants to make a mistake at this point in the tournament. It's still anyone's game!

Don't forget guests, if you want to interact, post on the updates, or simply give a shout out to whomever you may be supporting (even if it's cheeky
Richie
Lawlor
who recently bragged "come a take a photo of me soon, I'll have all the chips in a bit"), then please feel free to support the live updates and sign up as member of the forum. Like me, it's free, quick and easy. No catch, all you have to do is click 'register'. Many of the players do read the updates, so it's always nice if they see that someone was posting their good wishes. Cheers.

The players are now on a 45 minute break. Back soon, peeps, so don't touch that remote, or else... something bad will happen!

Colm Reville has just been eliminated. He pushed all-in over the initial raiser John Burke with
.
Burke dwelt for a while and called saying "I know I'm behind" showing
.
A disgusted Reville asked "Why did you call. Aghh why did you call. Sure you knew you were behind.
The board came
and Burke won the race while Reville heads for the exit door
