There is always point to the thread - people have answered you.
I'm on the fence - probably as I never decide 100% what to do until it is in front of me. If I don't know what I am going to do then how can anyone else read me lol.
I would probably have played the hand, but what I would do is not necessarily what I would recommend to do. After all I don't win everything so something is wrong.
All I really know is that the more I play the more I realise that I probably shouldn't play until I have a stupid amount of money to ride all the bad beats.
For some reason I still keep playing, oh well just another case of not following my own advice hehe.

Why is there no point to the thread?
I cant believe im actually agreeing with Flushy here.
He was flat calling all the way so I have no idea if I am ahead, his allin on the river suggests he has a better hand, it was very early in the tourney so im also thinking that he could have been trying to steal the pot with the range of hands that Moskvich pointed out.
The reason I posted is because given the same circumstances I would probably do the same again given that I no information on the table and there was no reraise. I think if he had reraised me on the river I might have folded as alarm bells were ringing very loud, the allin seemed a bit desperate.
So far we have
Call Fold On the fence
Boldie Flushy Bhoywonder
GlasgowBandit Jpean
Newportlad Grey Pete
Moskvich
and Alex Martin..was there any point in your post!!
I very nearly folded..does that mean im nearly a rock?
lol, sighs and wanders off to join Lucky Lloyd. Take what i say with a pinch of salt Suzanne, but seriously, this is a very simple call. Coolers are generally unavoidable, esp this type.
p.s methinks Flushy was being sarcastic,

Suzanne. Call very quickly and its not close.
This is a small buyin comp on the internet i presume and our villain does this with alot more hand that we are beating than losing against. Any 3, k10,kj, maybee ak and random bad bluff. If they are bad enough to limp kk preflop here then they are bad enough to stack the lot with a worse hand than k3.
Oh and as for Flushy he is being sarcastic, no doubt.

Big ((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) Alex.
On a more serious note though, us wee small time players are trying our best to improve our game and I know you are undoubtedly a better player than me so how does this comment help?

lol. Hand shows pretty well how important hand-reading is. but there really is no point to this thread.
I assumed that you meant I hadnt read the hand correctly? Now you say its a very simple call. Can you see how confusing all this can be.
Then for once im thinking maybe Flushy is right but straight away both Alex and Longy have said he is taking the p**s
I dont know :-(
Edit..I think I still would call and move on to the next tourney.
Thanks for all the advise guys x

Just a suggestion...
I wonder whether a mod shouldn't sometimes move threads from the main PHA board into the Learning Centre board, if they're simple questions or questions with a relatively simple answer, like this one. I personally don't care where they are, but if regular posters are getting fed up with what they see as daft questions, and resorting to sarcastic or dismissive answers, then it's not doing anyone any good.
I'm not being critical of your question, Suzanne - as far as I'm concerned, if someone feels they have a legitimate question, then they have a legitimate question. Just wondering if the LC board isn't a better place for this particular thread. And maybe for some others that just want a pretty basic answer and don't want/justify much in the way of actual analysis.

I don't actually think it is your mistake - if someone has a question to which they don't know the answer, then how can they know whether their question is simple or complex?
I'm just suggesting that in the interests of both the PHA and the LC boards maybe one of the LC board mods could pick up any posts that they feel would be better suited there than here. Might help avoid the sarcy comments.

I think you have a point, unfortunately neither me or the other LC mods have the power to move anything from one board to another, My modding powers are purely in the Learning centre.
