on st. patricks day I saw a double rainbow but couldn't be bothered to get out of the car 'cos it was raining. if I'd bothered would it have been easier or harder to get the pot of gold from the leprachauns assuming they were more drunk than usual due to the day's celebrations?

Getting hold of the pot would have been easier due to the leprechauns' inibreated state, but hardly worth the trouble as the contents of the pot had been spent down the offy.

blimey, glad I didn't bother then.

you've been most helpful, I'm off for dinner now, hope it's as long as everyone elses

Who is the winning-most driver ever in NASCAR racing?

that's a rather petty question, Richard

why? genuine question. I was only wondering this a few hours ago.

send your lovely assistant to look

I presumed you knew and were testing me.  The answer is, I believe, Richard Petty

I'm cooking and I gave up on the ironing earlier.  But thanks for your concern.

I would choose the line up before the present one, consisting of Heidi Range, Keisha Buchanan and Mutya Buena.

How many times can you subtract the number 5 from 25?

Personally, I'd choose all of them and adopt a Rafa-style rotation policy.
