Man U play Barca

Who is going to win, and why?

What should the bettor be looking for, value wise?

the hardest set of semis to call that I can remember.

manu v barca pairs up the 2 best in europe. barca have prob been no. 1 over the last year but I think utd's form has come at just the right time and they'll edge it.

liverpool v chelsea gives us the team with the european pedigree against another team who've hit form at the right time. another tight one which I reckon liverpool will just edge, it's europe after all

Barca v Manure has making of a great tie quite simply between them they have some of the best players in the world, as for the winner I think Barca just edge it in terms of quality but there defense is poor and can be exploited by the pace ans strength of Manures attack.

I fancy that both teams will win their home legs but its going to come down to who gets the most emphatic win.

I predict Barca will be just too good over 2 legs.  Although I do want to see a Man U v Liverpool final just to see how the Moscow cops deal with it Smiley

Chelsea v Liverpool will IMO bee a dull and boring affair.  Liverpool will go through over 2 legs.

Man U vs Barca should be a belter and im looking to forward to this tie alot. I think Man U are favourites to progress for a number of reasons but Barca have the talent to beat any team in the world.

Man U are in good form playing as a team, solid at the back especially if Vidic is back and excellent going forward. Barca are ropey at the back, have injuries to key players especially Messi and there is alot friction at Barca at the mo, Rijkaard is under severe pressure and will be gone by start of next season either way.

Man U to win by 1 or 2 in a high scoring affair over 2 legs imo.

Liverpool vs Chelsea is going to be a pretty dour affair but I think Liverpool will sneak it especially given the history.

Whatever the combination of teams making the final, the final will be a close affair imo. As it is bound to see a clash of styles between attacking and defensive styles.

I think it will be chelsea v man u in final although id much prefer to see man u v lpool

Barcas defence is pretty poor and also puyol is suspended for the 1st leg i think man u will be 2 good for them and will win both legs maybe 1-o away and then finish job at home.

I have a feeling its going to be chelsea turn this year(to make the final that is) mostly down to the 2nd leg being at the bridge but this will be a very close game and will possible come down to 1 bit of quality from 1 of the big players to determine it,maybe a 93rd minute wonder goal by stevie g to send liverpool through on away goals.

I think Man U will be to much for Barca.  They're not the same these days, the 'stars' are too lazy and they really aren't performing as they should be.  On the other hand, Man U are (clenches teeth) are playing superb and they go into every game looking like they're going to win.  You just don't get that with Barca atm.  I'd go as far as to say it will be a one sided affair and  Man U will win home and away.

Liverpool v Chelsea?  I'd rather watch paint dry.  Liverpool are cheats and don't deserve to be there and Chelsea are as dull as dishwater.  Liverpool to edge it 1-0 at Anfield and 0-0 at Chelsea.    OK OK, Liverpool to win, I think they'll do well at Anfield, it makes a difference playing there I think, but I expect the Stamford Bridge game to be pretty cagey with not much happening.

Man U v Liverpool final - Man U are too good and will win by a goal or two.  I just don't think Liverpool have enough at the top level to compete but I would rather see them win.

I agree with just about everything there. Man U wil beat Barca and Liverpool -chelsea will be a very poor game for the neutral spectator.

Puyol will be a big miss from Barcelona's defence and that might be the difference between the two sides. I can see the second leg going to extra time.

Chelsea may well be affected by upcoming results in the Premiership title race. If they are still in with a shout of becoming champions this may just give Liverpool the edge. A dodgy penalty or a sending off will influence the outcome.

Man Utd v Liverpool final.
