I'm a big fan of the Eagles. I have listened to that song so many times and never once did that interpretation cross my mind. Reading into it a little 'too' much, I think =P

As the Eagles spent most of the 1980s and 1990s out of their collective trees (with only a brief respite for Don Henley to pay for his 8th divorce with "boys of summer" ) only to reform for a lucrative reunion tour, I would say its easiest to say they wouldn't have a clue what the lyrics meant

On that basis Dingdell is right. and completely wrong. and utterly clueless as to why. and has been whooshed

Standard thread on bloonde then.

Lol - but you love me anyway!

Tracey, Im no Sherlock Holmes but after reading your dissection of the classic Eagles track my spider senses are telling me you might not be getting much at the mo  Wink

I'm taking the fifth on that.

Seriously I have always thought that's what it meant.....fk my life!

I have visions of some geezer running down the street with his wanger out cracking one off, this is just wrong!  This is not what The Eagles where about.

yes, reminds me of the guy that was granted one wish and spent the rest of his life as a twelve inch pianist.
