Bystandard raising out of the small blind we are inviting the bb to call or shove with fold equity. If he calls we are obv OOP for the entire hand if he gets shoved on cant call K9h.

By shoving we are heaping the pressure on, and may even get A2/A5 to fold here. Either way we are taking the decision away from ourselves and putting it on our opponent, who knows that 3rd place pays £0. 15/16bb is fine to do this in this situation imo, id prob even stretch to close to 20bb. By 3x raising we are opening ourselves up to difficult situations in this spot.

Big risk chancing 19k to win only 1k is it not? I don't mind a standard raise in this spot against a tight player. I can see how a push can work here but it's too risky for me versus what's on offer. Hate the limp though.

Bad-ish. He had one live card.

Wouldn't be posting otherwise would I!!

It's not really poker hand analysis then, it's just you moaning and insighting everyone else to join in with lamenting your bad luck and rebuking the sb bad play.

yes you got outdrawn

yes he played it badly

yes Robert Mugabe is pushing his luck

get over it

This is my fav PHA post ever I think.

Btw, open shoving the sb would be ridiculously stupid.
