with respect, Mr Shoelace..thats bollocks Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

thats golden, I just spat tea on my monitor !!

well, I mean.....

Glasgow Bandit and the Rangers fans could learn something from me. "With respect" before the insult means you can get away with Far Far more

Yes, as does:

"I'm not being funny but....."

and

"I think X is a great bloke but......."

and you can also add "bless him" at the end of an insult for similar effect

There is also the option of an additional smiley at the end of an insult.  Pretty standard.

and for the 3rd time today I learn something from watching the news, I must do this more often.

according to Sir Trevor McDonald JT missed his penalty as 'the ball appeared to bobble'.

that is tough luck

that is lazy journalism, his standing foot planted, he slipped and that was that

unless of course the pitch was prodded from underneath causing the ball to bobble

The new thing I learnt today is that this was Alex Ferguson's first ever win in a penalty shootout as a manager in a match that actually mattered (Man U won one in the Charity Shield). That's quite incredible.

What a very remarkable game that was, the most enjoyable moment being the sending off of that disgusting individual who as pointed out by others deprived his team of one of their penalty takers by his own pathetic actions.

Fell sorry for JT but thats how it goes.

One other thing that struck me how silly is it to be taking penalties at 1.30 am Moscow time on a bad pitch and in terrible weather and the really spooky thing was I actually made this point to my mates before the match.

Glad Ronaldo missed his pen - I thought you weren't allowed to stop dead in your run up and it had to be one continuous movement.

No, it's allowed now.

Well at least we have the proof yet again of why no Euro 2008 for England, not because of the endless supply of sacked managers...its the players obv, overpaid millionaires a month shite...most average players on the pitch? just check off the England players names...hmm start with Rooney, was he on the pitch???
10 English players played last night (i think)
We're not at the Euro's because they don't perform for England like they do for their clubs.

Who played the cross field ball to Ronaldo that nearly set up what would have been one of the best goals in a Champions League final?

Glad Drogba got sent off for the absolute campest slap ever.

I hope Ashley Cole's week ends with him going back home to find some bloke up to his nuts in Cheryl.
