...I get this urge to spring clean. This doesnt happen very often so when it does I have to go with the flow.

Playing poker into the wee small hours most nights and then catching up on sleep when kids are at school doesnt leave much time for the normal things in life such as shopping and general housework so you can imagine how big my ironing pile is, im sure if I ever reached the bottom I would find clothes that my kids outgrew 5 years ago.

So the sun is shining, the windows are so filthy I could plant spuds and suddenly there are loads of cobwebs everywhere (why dont we see them in winter?). I start with my feather duster cleaning around the ceiling, I then wash down the ceiling light and switch it on after to admire my work...BANG!!!

Shopping list
1 new bulb

I decide to have a go at the kitchen. I have a variety of cleaning products all advertised to lift grease with the wipe of a cloth, I pick what I think is the strongest and proceed to spray liberally around all the cupboard doors and surfaces, the instruction say to leave for 10 mins... just enough time to go on facebook :-) 1 hour later I return to the task only to find that not only can I not wipe it clean, but I now have a problem trying to remove the grease/cillitbang combination with the enamel on the worktop surface.

Shopping list
1 new bulb
New kitchen worktops

I then tackle the chip fryer, 30 minutes later I have a gleaming fryer :-) later that evening when I plugged it in the bugger blew UP!!

Meanwhile I have pulled out TV unit to clean behind it, polished TV and put it all back in place, switch on TV and....nothing...the bloody thing wont even go ON!!

Shopping list
1 bulb
New kitchen worktops
1 chip fryer
New telly

Im still not giving up so I pull out my PC and procede to clean in all the nooks and crannys, I then put it all back in place but when I plug in my speakers the wee plugin bit sinks inside the tower..weeeeeeeep. I take the tower apart and replace the sound card but nope...still no sound.

Shopping list
1 bulb
New kitchen worktops
1 chip fryer
New telly
New graphic/sound card.

By now im thinking I like dust...whats so great about being clean anyway!!!

Meanwhile my daughter has been watching me do my best to make our house a cleaner enviroment to live in and she has decided to rearrange my bathroom which brings me on to shopping...

...I HATE shopping, any kind of shopping, clothes, shoes, food I do it all online. Tesco is my friend :-)

I have a large shelf in my bathroom which is positioned high up away from little hands as my daughter is rather fond of smearing (painting pictures on the walls with toothpaste/shampoo etc) The shelf is no longer high enough as she can reach it by standing on the bath so I like to make sure I have enough in stock to allow for this.
So today she pulled all the bottles off the shelf and rearranged them to look "pretty"....I discovered I have 23 bottles of shower gel, 10 bottles of conditioner, 14 bottles of shampoo and 14 tubes of toothpaste (7 of them open)..so today I realised she doent smear as much as she used to which is good as I have a rather expensive shopping list LOL

PS the boiler is playing up and I didnt even touch that and washing machine sounds like rocket launch on spin :-(

I havent tackled the windows yet...maybe I wont LOL

When I was young they used to have measles parties -- if any kid had the measles, all the kids in the street were sent to their house. Big fire, windows closed we had to catch the damn thing as my mother used to say "to get it out of the way"  -- times change eh !!!
