i think im right but am prepared to shot down by those in the know

i fancy spain, there currently 6.6 on bdq and 11/2 on pp

$1 stake gets me $6.32 back after commission on bdq

$1stake gets me $6.50 back on pp, (hmm surprised by that for starters, pp impressive)

but my question is if i back spain to qualify from group, then bet again to qualify for semis, then again to reach final, then again to win the cup, rolling up the stake as i go, will i end up better off if they win by this method or just antepost it?

i reckon they'll be even money in qtrs and semis as they are likely to face france then italy or vice versa, then they will be faves in final versus whoever 1.6-1.8 imo, call it 1.7 in final

so that 1.3*2*2*1.7= 8.34 +/- 1pt id say. so i think its better to back each individual round, can anyone back me up/oppose this logic. obv not betting 1 dollar so fine margins are crucial.
