yes I can see you doing well in the writing side of things.
Don't think it'll be a hinderance.

was just doing a bit of googling and found a paragraph that looked interesting where someone was describing some of the poker related work they do. Thinking it sounded just the kind of thing I'd be interested in I clicked on the link with a view to maybe picking this person's brains if there were any contact details. Strangely the link took me to a birdwatching forum, and I knew before I read any further who it was!!

I recall Mel advertising a while back for where she works. Thought that was from home too. Might be worth a chat.

Trust me you dont want a career in the poker industry. Immensely hard work, full of people who dont understand what they are doing, full of backstabbers, long hours, minimal reward. I could go on but i cant be arsed.
All this aside, Kev is a great poker room manager, and he knows i mean it because if i didnt think he was good id call him a c*nt.

A bit of a generalisation there I think.
I would echo the previous post about checking through some of the gaming recruitment sites. Pentasia is good, as well as
www.bettingjobs.com
and
www.sportsrecruitment.co.uk
to name a couple more.
It is still a fairly niche industry so you'll probably find the same jobs being advertised in a few places at the same time.
As with anything it is likely to be a case of starting fairly low down the food chain and then working hard to make some contacts and impress the right people with your general attitude and knowledge/enthusiasm.
Again as previously mentioned, a second language is a really big bonus at the moment with most companies looking to expand into relatively untapped markets across Europe and Asia so that would definitely bump you up the wanted list.
Good luck!
