I have vague memories of such a thing existing many moons ago. 2 questions

1- did such a thing exist or did I imagine it?

2- does it still exist?

email newsletters have been periodically sent

is this what you refer to?

after the recent server upgrade we're in the process of sorting out a new mail server which will allow more consistent delivery..the rpevious server was unrelaible and for various reasons the newsletter didn't reach some people

I don't think I've received one for about 2 years tbh.

was just thinking about how I rarely know when there's something happening on the cardroom, I know that these things exist, just never know when they are. either a thread starts on here really early and I'm oblivious to it by the day the game's happening or a thread's started really late so it gets missed. a regular newsletter should sort that to some degree, might get numbers up.

Would a newsletter suffer from both of those? (Too early/too late)

Maybe a page listing all cardroom events?

obv too late is too late whatever medium you use.

too early, not a problem with a newsletter as you know it's in your email inbox if you want to check when something is happening, a lot easier than trying to find a single thread amongst hundreds of recent ones on the forum.

a page listing all cardroom events is great if kept up to date but should really be as well as, not instead of both a newsletter and forum threads as I'm pretty sure (correct me if I'm wrong but I doubt it) that the number of users who are regularly on the main site rather than the forum is disappointingly low.
