My daughter Bridie says tinternet is slow. I haven't really noticed any problems, but she downloads music and streams video etc, I mostly just play poker and browse blonde.

If I hover my cursor over the little connection icon, it says "Speed 48.0 Mps, is that fast or slow?

Where and how do we start to investigate this problem?

If you're as bad as I am, I'd recommend ignoring the problem

I had similar trouble a while back.  I ended up messing my computer up so much I had to get someone to reconfigure the whole damned thing.

Apart from all the time it took up and the 4 nervous breakdowns on the way, it would have been almost as cheap to buy my daughter a brand new computer.

So I say good luck, and when you try to fix it, make sure everything breakable within reach is nailed down.

Thats the connection speed between you and the router - Internet speed is different. Try taking a speed test (www.adslguide.org is one of many)

Yer thats hella slow...

Try switching your router off then on again..

If still doesn't speed up phone your ISP get them to see if anything is wrong on the line.

That's ours, none of these results are meaningful though unless we know what speed you should be connected at - mine is an 8mg connection, but always slower on the weekends. Last night it dropped right down to the speed of a 2mg connection which for us is terrible, but for you at the moment it would be very fast.

So, what should your connection roughly run at?
