OK so i was playing an mtt earlier on today

Blinds were at 500/1k

I start the hand in question with 14k chips AVG chips were roughly 25k

I'm in c/o and its folded round to me , I'm dealt  , I pot it to 3.5k , Guy on button the re pots it which puts him very nearly all in , he had like 500 chips left , id have 2k if i lost

I call very sharpishly , and he tables

Board comes  two hearts  and i win

Now i think i played the hand like i should have , but i had to listen to this guy rant about how I'm such a donkey and i cant make that call , and how he makes the ft every day except when  clueless players like me bust him out

Opinions ? ? ?

IMO people think AA is the nuts in omaha, they seem to forget that there's a lot that can go on and AA doesn't win that often.  Don't see anything wrong here, you're only an ever so slight underdog preflop, it's pretty much 50/50

I think I raise/fold pre. Occasionally limp/call preflop.

Once you get repotted here, I think you have to fold. This is a tournament, not a cash game, you can't replace these chips.

Would you think with me been so shortstacked and with money invested would make a difference here ?

Exactly my thoughts on this one.

There's little need to pot it preflop. Make it 2,700 or so, it's more than enough, but you should also do this with premium hands also. I much prefer you 3-betting here with this hand for your stack than calling a 3-bet for your stack. His hand is a preflop hand, yours has no strength until post flop.

Potting to take the blinds is overrated imo.

FYP.

I do have a habit of busting Scott Clements in the $30r on FT though. Shame I've been running bad/sucking at PLO cash since April...

I agree with Chris about openfolding or raising less - but once we've potted it I think folding there is burning money. Can't replace those chips? Can't make up that lost equity either!!

i am never ever folding this when I only have 14BBs and I've stuck almost 20% of my stack in.  (Even when you put 2700 in you've put too much in to fold here).

You have half the average chips and would be left with 11 BBs if you stick 2700 in and then fold, what sort of hand are you waiting for?
