After a somewhat lacking in action period it seems to be warming up again. Well Alli Mallu is.

Alli makes it 5k to go in late position. Jonathan Spinks flat calls along with the SB and BB.

 three clubs Two Diamonds

SB Checks BB Checks Ali Checks but the Jonathon makes it 8000 to stay in the pot.

Both SB and BB fold but Alli  pushes his mighty stack of 110k plus into the middle.

After much thought  it was begining to look like the bum clench moment had arrived for young Spinks but alas he folded.

Good fold IMHO as Alli allowed him to see what Pocket Aces looked like.

Terry Fletcher raised to 7,000 on the button, Martin Jarvis made it 21,000 from the small lbind and Fletcher called. Both players checked the flop and the turn, only for Fletcher to bet 9,000 on the raggy river. Jarvis made the call with , but lost out to . Jarvis down to 20,000. "Argh, I had A-8 on the big blind," claimed Richard Kettel, "and would have taken all your chips."

With the board reasing , Rob Clark led for 10,000 and Chris Bruce called. On the river, Clark bet 15,000, Bruce pushed all in and Clark folded. Bruce showed and is now on 124,000. "Didn't think you were strong, it was the only way I could win it."

Please don't be alarmed. I haven't gone insane. The following picture is for those viewers I enticed over from the London EPT with the promise of breasts.

Who cares about DTD and small buy-in events these days? It's the EPT in London that everyone's talking about. Come check out what's going down in rainy London. In fact, if you come now, I'll guarantee you some moobs.

Francing Pipping has bitten the dust courtesy of Terry Fletcher. Fletcher raised to 11,000 from the cut-off with only for Pipping to push from the big blind with Two Clubs for a total of 37,100. Fletcher took quite a while to make the call, but call he did and the card were flipped. Although the two spades flop heavily favoured the underdog, the turn followed by a river allowed justice to be served and awarded the pot to Fletcher. 14 left.

We lose another.

Short stacked Rob Allen goes all in for his almost diminsihed stack of 9.5k asking for players not to pass. Careful what you wish for Rob,  button re-raise of 35.9k all in from Phillip Clarke and after an almost clock calling dwell the SB Daniel Ward decided to fold his pkt 10's.

Rob  two spades

Phillip

When the board shows the  a sound that could quite easliy be mistaken for a zip accident in the males urinals escaped from Wards mouth.

There was no help on the turn or river for Rob and we are minus one more.

Another Alli Mallu hand.

Alli has taken a somewhat dent to his stack.

On an 8 9 3 board Alli pushes his mighty stack in to be insta called by young Spinks.

Alli holds    for an up n down against Jonathan's K K.

Jonathan Spinks now holds close to his chest a dangerous stack of .

This last pot was so big that Alan Titchmarsh could plant his whole garden in it. With Richard Kellett making it 8,500 from UTG, Ali Mallu pushed for a total of 70,000 from the big blind. After a brief moment of deliberation, Kellett made the call.

Kellett =
Mallu =

Flop =

As Mallu departed, Kellett banged the table in celebration. He had around 170,000 at the start of the hand, but that triumph now puts him closer to the 250,000 mark and odds on favourite to win this event.
