Snoopy had a spot of luck first hand, in that it folded around to him on the cutoff and he shoved. The button wasn't interested, and neither was Stuart Rutter in the small blind, who folded 3-5o face up. The luckiest bit, though, was that Nik Persaud had not managed to get out of bed in time to defend his big blind, and Snoopy picked up a few much-needed blinds and antes right there.

Jonathon Butters has slipped up and is outta here, losing to Sami Yusuf's .

Jack Powell is out, he raised preflop from the cutoff and the big blind Andrew Clarke defended. The flop came out 9-5-4 and Clarke led out for 6k, call. On the 6 turn, the big blind bet 11k and Powell moved all-in for what Stuart Rutter said was about 18-19k more, the big blind quickly calling with a set of fours with Powell drawing dead with T-5o. Clarke wins what was a 73k pot to put him amongst the chip leaders.

A shove from William Martin was followed by a surprisingly swift call from Bernard Litman, thus setting off panic alarms in the eyes of Mr Martin -- but he had nothing to fear.

Martin:
Litman:

Board: raggy and flush-free and thus entirely irrelevant

Split.

A short-stacked Kiem Huynh raised and then called all in to a reraise from Kevin Terry in the small blind.

Bad time to be raising with K-9 - it's a bit of a dog at the best of times...

Terry:
Huynh:

Board: Two Clubs

There was some gentlemanly handshaking, and Mr Huynh and his assistant headed for the bar.

Jerome Bradpiece has almost doubled up, moving all in on the river of a 3-8-6-5-2 board (three hearts on there, I believe) with most of chips already in the middle before the river. Roberto folded to the familiar sound of him begging to see Jerome's hand, and Jerome flashed only the two hearts.

Jerome 'Sleepy Bear' Bradpiece raises to 3,200 and Kay Bushby pushes all-in. Jerome makes the call.

Bradpiece:
Bushby:

Thanks Benjo!

Two Diamonds

Jerome wins the classic 57-43 flip eliminating his opponent.

Andy Purser has doubled through a slightly worse for wears Alex Martin with Jacks against Queen-Ten.
