alexpowa had been pretty free with his raises preflop and had shown a couple of bluffs where he'd stolen with a 3bet.
he'd also been called down on a couple of big turn and river bets when he'd got the nuts...
His stack is quite big for these tables.
My session has been up and down - I'm playing tight; VPIP about 30%; this is my first PF reraise at this table

I don't like the check on the turn and I'm not sure why I did it - the sight of three hearts in a row probably.

So, what to do next time?

Bigger bet on the flop?
Fire again on the turn?

I call his massive overbet on turn and expect to see him with some kind of pair + draw combo hand.

If he has 2pair+ and makes that move he deserves my money.

Playing at 30 vpip isn't tight fwiw, it is pretty loose actually especially given I would be waiting for the nuts at this limit and then counting my money.

Got to make it more pre make it at least 3x the raise and then you can odd a bit extra for the limper as well. I would make it about $2 to go here.

Flop is fine.

Hmmm you only have just over the pot back on the turn it is close imo, you often see donks at this level blast it in with a strong hand here. Given your read that he bluffs a bit I would say "fck him and his overbets" and call. I expect to see quite bit of variance when we call as he is going to show up a good hand sometimes here.

I think this is your natural tourney sensibilities telling you it is close.

Looks like a snapper to me.

Thanks for the comments - 30VPIP on these tables is relatively tight it's not unusual to see 50+, indeed I had a player at the table yesterday running at 83 after over 120 hands....

I folded, alexpowa showed A9, I shrugged to myself and made a note...

The turn check worked perfectly - you just forgot to call.
(Checking to an aggro. player is not a bad play in this situation).

Pre Flop Re-Raise size is bad IMO.
You are putting your hand face up, but not charging much for the privilege.
Something just under $2 would be better.

Pre-flop raise needs to be more. Don't think he's hit the flush as would of raised you on the flop based on his previous activity. Would probs of put him on the king, as a lot of players at this level will push if they hit top pair.
