Next month DTD will be holding it's £1,000 Anniversary Cup Event, meaning this weekend's £300 event will be the last 'official' one of the year. It'll be interesting to see how numbers will fair vs the Grosvenor Grand Prix which everyone will agree didn't do so well this year and also against the £500 event at Star City in Birmingham. Play starts at 8pm, though I'll be heading over to DTD in the next half hour or so.

Who is coming? Who do you want reports on? And most importantly of all, how many breakfasts will Red Dog manage during the tournament?

RedDog is here at Star City. I'll be over there soon if I don't recover some chips!

Interesting piece of news for anyone who knows him. Will Fry, online player from Nottingham, has won the EPT in Budapest. I admit I've never heard of him, but have any of you Notts locals?

Yes I know Will.  Sometimes seen playing cash at DTD and the odd comp.  He wears a black lip ring and talks quit slowly lol.  Definately not a prediction any of us in Nottingham wou
ld have made I reckon but well played Will, must have done something right.

As the clock counts down (13:16 to go) the number of runners counts up (58 and counting).  So many different poker things are happening this weekend that this probably isn't going to be the busiest £300 freezeout of the year, but it's always a good comp and we're up for watching those we know and love to watch bust out one at a time (apart from the winner).

************************Shuffle Up and Deal!***************************

About 50 seconds ago, almost drowned out by the crowd gathered around the one-hand-turnover satellite occurring on a nearby table ("OOOH! He's got a FLUSH DRAW!") which I think may have been won by Richard Berridge, the tournament started.  Off go the usual mix of regulars and players drawn by the allure of Nottingham, pictures and stories on their way.

table 26,lol

trigg,leknave,Dave Smith,middy and chiprich

LeKnave, "We really shouldn't have all bought all at the same time..."

He's already lost a few chips in what seemed a reraised pot after Nicholas Marshall and Dave Smith both checked the flop. Dave bet 1,100, Marshall raised to 3,100 and both Daves' passed quickly.
