yeah theyre running bad at the moment and have the weakest squad of the big four but theyre still there in the top four and i expect them to get a result today, especially at home, i think they'll be boosted by the performence of the kids and will want to turn in a good performance themselfs, between the team at the bottom and the team in 10th i think theres a 2-3 point difference, the league is very constricted at the moment and aston villa have capitalised on that with some solid perforfances but i think theyre showing in the league is more down to other teams, sunderland, spurs, pompy and newcastle all getting off to indifferent starts, theyre punching above there weight and i see a downswing coming for villa once the league starts to sort itself out.

Villa have had two bad results recently. So their downswing has started already but they'll still be comfortably 5th with only Everton able to push them for that spot.

To the original poster, I think this bet has good value. Shame Villa missed the pen.

Great shout. unlucky.

Out of interest where did you pull it from? The last 6 newcastle Wigan games have been home wins and Villa are so inconsistant. Was it just going against the history job?!

Cheers guys, sick one!

Wigan should never have been down to 10 men, cost me the bet

As for where i got it from, being a Celtic fan i love Martin O'Neill, and like to watch them. I think the individual talent they have is very under rated, when they gel together, and link up well they are a great team IMO, this coupled with Arsenals lack of team structure and lack of experience in their squad, mad me think they could pull it off.

As for wigan, I took them away to Pompey too, and they pulled for me, mainly it was the 11/4 value that attracted me, Bookies still overrating Newcastle, when they are in no way out of trouble.

That Ref's a twat tho!

Always next week guys, chin up.
