I will buy it off you if u want
Cheers paul but My mate snapped my hands off for it lol. Didn't cost me anything to win and I had fun playing it, him and his wife have been good mates to me above and beyond poker so I'm happy I can pass it on to him.
Good Karma. Think he will turn it into cash for sure.
Paul you know that most of the dates clash with Dtd. I will only play those that don't clash or the tour offers too much value in overlay..... I have noticed they have a pay out structure for 100 to 150 runners. To be fair we could still play 1a of genting, some of day 2 and still make Dtd Saturday.
[X] killing two birds with one stone
You don't think the Genting tour will be softer (qualifers online/clubs/nuts poker league) than the DTD comps?

You are kidding me right. The Dtd 300 comp is without doubt the softest comp in the country. It appeals to the recreational player as it is possible to play over 2 days without the need to take a day off work. It is the begining of the month when most people just been paid so can squirrel the money away without the wife noticing. Simon and Rob are shrewd cookies and know this.... 90% of the players go out with flopped top pair or ace high pre flop (including myself and deadman and we are in the top 5% on ability in that room
Genting will have a few pro's playing that you never see at Dtd and will have a lot of decent players putting in from the more successful staking sites. Being thurs/fri start counts a lot of the value players out IMO.
Don't get me wrong I want genting to succeed but my personal choice is Dtd. Can't see Dtd not reacting to the clash of dates and the £500 in Jan is just a tester for something bigger/ better to come IMO .
Competition is a good thing but I don't have a short memory and remember the crap organisation we had to put up with before Dtd came along. Dtd are leading the way with everyone else just copying structures, re entries, gtd prizes etc.
Even bought my Eastwood town shirt to show my support for Dtd as evidenced in my profile picture.
[X] money wasted as Rob sold the club the next week lol

Dtd 100k gtd is £300 >>>>>>>>> genting 100k gtd is £400 ( have I got >>>>> the right way round Paul )
Dtd 500 is £150k gtd
Dtd is on your doorstep..... Scotland is not.
Plus side is you will get 3 shots at a trophy each leg

Thanks....never managed to get to for the DTD 300, but always seemed a strong field.
Certainly plenty of choice next year....going to be interesting.

Always wanted to post in this thread, although it probably doesn't qualify as a shippage moment but meh..
Played the Monte satellite @ dtd tonight, the comp generated 6 seats and a 7th place for £740.. I just fell short when my Ace Rag can't beat Barry Nevils Q,2 for basically a seat.. Oh well 7th will do, tbh i was only going to transfer it to a few deepstacks anyway if that would of been allowed.. Met up with Herbie which is always a pleasure and he introduced me to Stuart Fox who is a nice fella, also shared a table with Alex Martin for a short while, no rubs intended.. Was pretty much on Lawrence Gosney's table the whole night and shared alot of banta with him.. He plays well and runs well which is a great combo..
