I fear there could be a number of Will Fry hands reported today, not because we worship his every move, but because like Pete Linton, Ali Mallu and fellow EPT winner Julian Thew, Will has a tendency to play a lot of hands, and approach them in a way that differs somewhat from his opponents. Take exhibit A, for example. After limping from early position, Will reraises a preflop raise of 350 to 750 total. His opponent flat-calls, and we see a flop of . Will bets out 1,500, and his opponents calls. Deja-vu on the turn, as Will leads out for 1,500, only for his stubborn opponent to make the call for the second consecutive time. On the river, however, Fry bumps his bet to 3,500 which, after a long dwell from his opponent, is enough to take down the pot.

Will shows .

He's not as good as his brother Philip J Fry, though.

One player who's started well is Brent Dewstow-Newitt. I joined the action on the turn of a board, Dewstow-Newitt trying to raise Liaquat Javed's curious bet of 100 to 1,000, but being told that he'd have to call due to not announcing his intentions. On the river, Javed once again bet out an odd amount, this time 300, which although was enough to force Will Fry out of the hand, triggered a raise of 1,000 total (this time announced with the annunciation of an Englishman talking to a foreigner) from Newitt. Javed shook his head and made the call, but, as he perhaps expected, came up short against Dewstow-Newitt's . You could say that Javed Newitt before he made the call. Ahem.

Was still on his starting stack about 15 minutes ago, though very much liked his table which included Lucy Rokach and William 'FREEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOM*' Wallace. (The latter has really recovered well from being hung, drawn and quartered several centuries ago, he must have found the 'crack' version of Botox or something...)

*That really is his nickname.**

Simon Trumper on the mic, "The player who went out 2nd, [Mark Bond] we have a buffet ticket for you!"

*Silence for about 10 seconds*

Simon, "We have a spare buffet ticket if anyone wants one."

Three players departed thus far, but it could have been four. Over on table over 25 Paul Kemp and Sean Phillips reached the river of an A-T-T-Q-x board where Kemp bet 1,200, Phillips raised to 5,000 and Kemp flat-called. Kemp showed A-T, but Phillips revealed a triumphant A-A, but was left to rue having not cleaned out his opponent and sent him packing. Kemp down to 15,000.
