Steve Jelinek raised to 7,000 preflop from UTG+1, Kevin O'Connell made the call one seat along and the two players proceeded towards a three diamonds flop. Check, check to a two spades turn where Jelinek bet out 7,000. O'Connell called. river, and again Jelinek bet out 7,000. Without too much hesitation, O'Connell made the call and showed , whilst Jelinek can only muster .

As Jelinek sighed dejectedly, O'Connell tried to offer some comforting words: "Think yourself lucky, you could have lost more money." "I don't feel very lucky," replied Jelinek.

Faces starting to sag now as plays grinds to a near halt. Ints Grinbaums is fidgeting in his seat relentlessly, whilst even Nick Hicks looks as though he's started to feel fatigued. Meanwhile, John Eames seems a bit tired, whilst David Jones looks like he's going to melt. Long structures don't suit everyone, so it's very much of who will make the first mistake.

"you can't play this long and not get paid," said Paul Gourlay, perhaps beginning to feel the intense loom of the bubble.

LeKnave shoves for 47k on top of Cristiano Blanco's midposition raise. Blanco folds, trying to get to see Jones' cards but fails - like this boat.

Meanwhile Luke Marsh has doubled up through Steve Jelinek.

Jelinek raised from the button to about 8k, and Marsh had reraised another 16k. Jelinek made the call.

three diamonds

Marsh led for 15k and Jelinek made it 30k. Marsh made it all-in and Jelinek made it, "Call."

Marsh:
Jelinek:

Additional outs for Jelinek.

two spades

But no, the nine plays and Marsh doubles through.

Just as they were creeping into the break, I tried to note down a few pots of note, but can only say that there simply were't any. The action at the moment is mainly preflop with players conceding blinds with too much resistance. Pots are making it down the streets, but often one bet is good enough to take it down.

Players are now on a 15 minute break, which I feel a few participants were in desperate need of.

Unless a deal is done, I can't see this finishing tomorrow? Would be a great shame if they chopped/had to chop btw

FWIW I spoke to Wadey earlier in the day and from the players left 4 players stood out.

Cristiano Blanco
Nick Hicks
Trevor Reardon
Kevin O'Connell

Looks like they're going to add an extra level on tonight, unless something crazy happens in the next four hours.

David Jones is short, but showed the dogged survival skills of Ray Mears in the wild. Having raised it up from the cut-off, Will Fry reraised on the button only for LeKnave to push all in. I imagine it wasn't too much more for Fry to call, because as he folded there was a big sigh from the other players, Paul Gourlay even saying, "How can you fold that?" "I folded a monster," said Trevor Reardon. "Ace jack I had." Either way, LeKnave survives, but remains one of the shorter-stacks.

Nick Hicks raises to 7,600. James Mitchell flat-calls next to him. Passed to Trevor Reardon on the button who reraises to 31,600. Nick Hicks folds quickly. James Mitchell eyes up Big TR's stack. before announcing all-in for about 250k more! Trevor stares at him for about 2 seconds, initially looking displeased, but then calls.

James Mitchell:
Trevor Reardon:

Will Fry, "Nick, did you pass an ace?"
James, "Don't ask him that!"
Nick, "I'm not going to say."

Trevor Reardon takes down the biggest pot of the tournament and is now the chip leader.

"Will," says Nick, a little downbeat, "I had quads..." He then turns to me and says, "Shame I never get to see that flop!"

Looks as though LeKnave is enjoying the dizzy heights of a 90,000 stack now and grinding like no man has ever er... grund before.
