To pluck up courage to analyse a PHA post and then have Flushy say "Correct Tom, that's what I would do too"

Lol. Not really. I'm going for something achievable, like winning an EPT.

1) Cash somewhere that is not London or Luton. It won't be a good year without adding two new random flags on my Hendon Mob results.

2) Get one sick re-suckout. Just one. A set under set that turns into quads in the river, something like that.

3) Get at least two internet players to declare their love for live poker. Dan Carter and Flushy will start the year as the main targets for no 3).

4) Get Jon Butters on my table for the whole day, and natter so relentlessly that he has drunk himself into despair by the end of it.

played less and played worse and still made a profit overall in 2008. 2009, i just don't know, i don't think full time job, fledgling business, ball and chain and serious poker can be accomodated anymore.

You missed out Desktop Tower Defense in the list of things taking up your time.

As for my poker goals:

1.  Continue to build-up my roll playing at DTD, and hopefully to a level that means I can play the 1/2 game consistently.

2.  Reach a final table at a live APAT event (a win would be nice ldo).

3.  Learn how to play omaha properly.

Build some sort of bankroll up and not quit everytime I start out with something

Play more live games inc APAT and hopefully qualify for a larger buy in live event

Improve to a better standard, I've been donking around my level since I started pretty much, I need to improve and become a regular winner.  I'd like to be the Moorman of the lower stakes tourneys, but I guess that's one hell of an ambition.  Need to get better in 09 though, this has to be a year of improvement.

continue to enjoy myself

continue to meet and greet people at social poker gatherings

continue to play within my means (important as i'm shite at this poker lark)

continue to go to as many live APAT events as possible (accompanied by the "destroyer" of course (son of duke))

Continue to stake son of Duke (he has a good game and I have 50% of him -- should be a good year)

Continue to be tolerant, sober, quiet and reserved

over and out

I've found I'm much better at working out what my goals were for the year, after it's gone.

So my main goal for 2008 was to get an APAT gold - this was achieved (albeit a regional rather than a national one)

I shall work out what my goals were for 2009 around about this time next year.

More volume. Hardly played any meaningful stakes this year.
