Sometimes you have to suffer a little bit in your youth to motivate yourself to succeed in later life. Do you think if Bill Gates got laid in high school, do you think there'd be a Microsoft? Of course not.

One of the first 'second chances' goes to Shaun Sharam at the hands of the Kid James Atkin: He held As against the kid's AK, which looked tempting on a flop with two spades, but did him no good, and the "chips!" shout rang out across the room. Thanks to Jonathan for notifying us of this early episode (how helpful is he?)

Burnley John doubles through.
Holds pocket aces versus ace 4.
Bets 150. Called.
Flop = A47
He bets 600. Mateyboy makes it 1200. John smooth calls.
john checks rag turn. Mateyboy bets 1000. John sets him all in. Mateyboy calls.
I believe he was drawing dead.
Lovely!
