Dennis Wise comes over to take a corner at the QPR end.
From about 8 rows back, this huge globule of spit comes flying out of the crowd and lands on Wise's temple and runs down his cheek. He just gave a half-smile and wiped it off and carried on.
Never could hate him in exactly the same way since.

I was at a QPR v Arsenal game way back. The Arsenal team run out for the second half.. Ian Wright gets the normal barrage of abuse as he's last out. He turns to the crowd at aims a huge globule of spit into the crowd, most which hit an old fella squarely in the eye. I always hated him even more passionately since. |

When has he spat at some one before? And what's wrong with an injured player joining his team mates on the pitch after a victory? If it's determined that he didn't spit at anyone then the accusation becomes as bad as the act. |
