Ok I Just got back in from the cincinatti rooma nd my wife has relegated me to the couch cos we dissaggreed that I should readily part people with a gambling addiction from their cash.

My point is this I was stuck tonigh and if it waqs not for a fish with an addiction i would have finished stuck.

So Is it morally wrong to take this blokes money? should I dump it back to him, or am I justified in thinking if I dont do it someone else will??

Sorry but i cant understand all these "should i feel guilty " posts ... if you are sat at a poker table with 8 or 9 other people, would you be happy if you were asked to provide bank statements, letters from your employers, a permission slip from your nearest and dearest to state that you could afford to lose your sit down money  ??   Of course you wouldnt ... neither is it your job to enquire as to whether the other players at your table are spunking away the wifes housekeeping/rent money.   every one who sits down at a table is fair game ..after all it is not as if you put a gun to his head and forced him to play .

Dont feel the slightest bit of guilt .... because if you do then you shouldnt be playing the game.

It was a good thread, here's the link

I think I took the opposite stance on this one, near the end of the thread. Feel free to paraphrase me if you want back in the good books, pretend you agree with her.

Nope she can go forth and multiply, Its not my fauld the guy had to go borrow money the comes back and loses it, and he has no family to support, and if it was not me then it would have been you taking it or someone else.  I wont feel guilty for it and if that means that I am on the couch then fine, I have 1 thing left to say pay per view porn.

It seems I'm very outspoken on this subject.

I'd carry on relieving them of their cash and use it to buy a really really comfy couch.......

Billy are you talking about Michael? It wasn't exactly a large sum of money...

The amount of money is irrelevant, it's a principle thing.

Which one is Michael?
