Hi tikay, will you be re-entering today? Ill be playing myself, i watch a lot of skypoker so would be great to see you there!

Hi Dwayne,

No, I'm afraid not.

I hope you have a great day though, & if you make Day Two - & you WILL (think positive) you'll be able to hook up with Julian Thew.

There were loads of Sky Poker regulars there yesterday, including "Timber", "Dooobs", & "StayOrGo", who holds the remarkable distinction of winning the Thursday Night Main Event on Sky Poker two weeks running in December!

I also shared a Table with one of the nicest lads you could ever wish to meet, who took his beats like a proper bloke should, & we clashed repeatedly all day. His name was Paul Singhal.

I somehow bust his set of Aces with  which left him with just 9,000 chips, & the very next hand he busted my  with  to double back up.

So, he then asks if he can have my photo. Which is a little embarassing, but still very nice. I pose, he takes the pic, "thank you", "no worries".

"It is for your biggest fan ", he says.

"You are? Wow!"

"No, but my Mum is"".......

Good luck today Dwayne, I'll look out for you on the Update, & I'll ask Tighty to get a photo of you for the Update.

You forgot the part where you asked if his mum was single!!

We had great 1st table lots if fun and banter on it

Good luck to all the blonds playing today

I'm SURE I never said that! Not in so many words, anyway........

How much fun was that Table? Awesome, can't remember enjoying myself so much in ages.

Jamie Sykes min raises the button to 4,000

Dinarte Araujo De Sousa in the big blind calls

flop

check

Sykes 5,500

De Sousa 13,300

Sykes 26,000

De Sousa 60,000

Sykes flats the 4th bet post flop

Sykes starts the hand with 150,000

De Sousa 120,000

De Sousa shoves his last 40,000 on the  turn

Sykes folds

De Sousa shows him !

Sykes tells us he had deuces....

Interested in Jamie's thoughts on this hand if reported correctly!
Confirmed correct except De Sousa stack 60k on the turn shove.
Jamie said he didnt think villain would shove turn after he flats the flop 4bet and then he does same

If you've bought a seat via the online shop you can just turn up and plonk your backside on your seat right?  You don't need to queue again at the cash desk?

Ta

Have done this before for other events. Yes. Terms and conditions say a seat is registered in your name although it won't show on the website as a listed entry until after the club opens.

Bring a copy of the email (on your 'phone if you like) in case of any issues but yeah it's much easier.

Julian Thew raises K-Q

Ray Brookshaw flats in position

flop J-10-x two clubs

Julian checks

Brookshaw playing 70,000 bets 8,000

Thew playing 170,000 check raises to 25,000

Brookshaw shoves

Thew calls

Brookshaw A-8cc

turn 9 for the Thewy straight

river A for the other end of the Thewy straight

Thewy up to 240,000 with 58 left at 1500-3000, average 136,000

I'm afraid to say that it was I that was on the receiving end of Mr Thew.
