How would you expect to run the cable? A new external cable or re-use the one already there?
Most irs (comunual systems) are wired differntley to a standard home installation.
Does any one else have there own dish?
If your having problems contact the management, they may be able to make some adjustments on your cable run.

Yeah guy next door has one with cable running direct into his flat, so has 2 inputs when you include the communal

Well if someone else has a dish up then that should be fine.
Cost wise, for dish, quad lnb and fitting i would expect about £100.00.

ps - Sky fitters are mostly poor go with a recomended independant local installer.

Some one else having a dish makes it more of a problem with planning regulations, only 2 dishes per building.
If you get on ok with your neighbour see if you can share his dish,it's entirely possible he already has a couple of spare outlets on the dish.

This can be potentially very dangerous!
IF the properties are on different phases from a 3 phase supply and the lnb sufferes an internal short then there is the possibility of a digibox becoming mains live, this is the reason comunual systems are fully earth bonded.
The same applies if two houses share one dish.
