Could someone explain the reason for these?

What is the big secret and why?

I assume the buying club doesn't want other clubs to know how much its willing to pay for players, lest other transfer targets suddenly become more expensive, and the selling club doesn't want everyone to know exactly how much is now in their transfer kitty, for the same reason.

Why disclose fees and why say how much the player earns in the first place?

It's always seemed a bit strange that football clubs do this and with 1 or 2 exceptions no other employers in this country divulge to the press how much individual staff within their company earn.
Although the info wouldn't be hard to find out it just seems odd that football clubs are so open about it.

I see Turner went for an undisclosed fee. 12 Million according to the sun prices for defenders has gone through the roof!

You know the Transfer List?  Can we look at it or is it private thing between clubs?

Circulars are sent out by clubs making others aware of players etc, although its more of a data-base than an actual paperwork 'list', clubs/agents/chief scouts have access usually by password on a 'said' site...

Ah, thank you.  I've always wondered if it actually existed.

This and it's also used by clubs who don't want to sell fan favourites.
