Cos I thought you were trying to get away from being a degen gambler. I think Chelsea are the most likely winners of the league but giving Manu a significant headstart on the handicap is just a really bad idea.
Sorry if I lose you your action Matt but it's only fair to give the guy an opportunity to see sense.

So just to double check - if Chelsea are exactly 5 points in front of Man U at the end of the season do you win the bet?
And what sort of amounts you willing to take?
Yes I would win the bet. What sort of amount do you want to bet? I'll most probably take it. Anything up to £1,000 will be fine. Only thing is as we dont know each other do we just go on trust - or ask someone to hold the money for us? Let me know what you think? I'd like someone to hold the money. Not saying you would but I've been grimmed by disappearing blondes for £600 in the last week or so and think it's easier to just have someone impartial hold the funds as I wouldn't expect you to trust me and vice versa, we've never met.

imo, man u will not win the prem, antilotti is not proven in this league, wenger won't put his hand in his pocket so liverpool are likely winners

It's not up to Wenger to spend his own money. I'm sure he'd love Arsenal to make funds available to him for transfers

Only reason Chelsea didn't win this year was because Essien wasn't in the team at the start of the year.
This year we will blitz the Premiership. I'd take bets that we'll finish 5 points ahead of UTD.
Interesting. @ What price ? +1 I am still rather doubtful that Chelsea will get their summer targets (if they actually have any that are realistic) and Ancelotti definitely doesn't convince me. I'd like a bet you wont win it and finish 5 points clear of 2nd place whomever that may be. Evens? [ ] That's what I initially suggested. [X] I am aware of what you suggested. I was wondering how confident you were of Cheslea winning the league (you think they will) and doing it by 5 points of the second team. So if you think they will win the league and be ahead of Man U by five points but not necessarily Liverpool by the same margin you therefore think the order will be: 1st Chelsea 2nd Liverpool 3rd Man U How's about a bet at evens that this wont be the order?

How do you figure that one out? I never ruled out the possibility that Man Utd would finish above Liverpool and you want to skank me for evens on that? I've figured it out from what you've said. I've offered Chelsea to finish first and whoever to finish second at 5 points or more behind and you didn't fancy it stating to Boldie that Utd might not finish second. But you are confident of Chelsea winning the league ("this year we will blitz the prem"). You are also confident of them finishing 5 points ahead of Utd ("I'd take bets that we'll finish 5 points ahead of UTD"). So therefore it stands to reason that you think Chelsea will win and finish 5 points clear of Utd but possibly not the team in second place? (Arsenal or Liverpool realistically) So now you can see why I offered the top 3 bet. No one is skanking you, I'm just trying to work out exactly what you think will happen by your posts.
