He has won more tournaments than anyone in Mens tennis in the last 12 months, admittedly they aren't the ones that count. Safina is world no.1 and has never won a slam.

Yeah but if you look at the Majors, he lost in Australia when he should have been in hospital, The French he did better than expected, by far. And at Wimbledon he probably should have beaten Roddick, but Roddick played a fantastic match. The last time he lost to someone he shouldn't have was, I think, the Olympics. He's there on merit and I think even Rafa would admit it.

But still a way to go to overtake the Master.
