That keeper's had a decent game until now.  He's let 5 in like, but has been pretty decent!

the most impressive part for me, was the fact that we came out of the traps quickly and got at them ... we imposed ourselves on the game and gave them a hounding right from the first whistle.

great stuff. 8th straight win sees us tear apart a top 10 ranked nation, gotta be pleased with that

we're going to take a really strong squad with us this time, no deadweight and there'll be some top, top players left behind

on top of the 18 in tonight's squad you've got james, robinson, rio, lescott, richards, carrick, downing, ashley young, joe cole, wright phillips, walcott, hargreaves, crouch, owen if he has a good season

so that's 32 all of whom could make the squad and I'm sure I've missed a few plus there's always likely to be a couple of surprise packages through the season. agbonlahor maybe

Yes - very English! Will blood, guts and thunder be enough? It is in the Champions League. When our teams play that style the continentals cant handle it.

We are bit better than that, it is not simply about playing at a high tempo or all the home countries would be qualifying for World cups. Mix the quality we have with a high tempo game, we have a got a shot.

Yes I agree but this team is pretty technically gifted now also....

Bloody England, just when I think I will never think it again, now like a twonk I suddenly am deluding myself that we will win the world cup.

Controlled, classy, confident and ruthless, one of the best performances I have seen in ages.

Congrats to Scotland btw for only losing by one

Remember when we beat Germany 5-1 in a World Cup qualifier?  We didn't do so well in the finals after that.  Germany went on to reach the final.

There you go, that should dampen some of the optimism.

Thank you, I needed that.

Actually think it was a better performance last night, but very good point.
