Can Haye take a decent punch? (Never watched him fight)
Not really known for having a decent chin - but that's what makes him exciting. He can bang, but doesn't take a shot too well. If he can reach Valuev's head he can dish out some damage of his own..
Yep, very suspect chin, he has sharpened up his defence a bit and he certainly will be getting knocked out again in his career, as boshi says, thats what makes it a great fight
If he can't take a punch he won't stand much of a chance though against a guy this size who can take a punch and can very easily land one, no?. 2-1 seems a bit big of a price on the big guy.
I just gave my old mucker Haye a call and he told me this, its a bit similar to what he said in an interview with the Daily Mail:
'OK, in an ideal world I would have a granite chin but don't forget that even Ali got put down. Two things matter: how you react - and I always get up - and, even more importantly, not losing your concentration when you go after someone. The punches that knock you over are the ones you don't see. That's been the case with me every time.
'When I got back to the corner after Mormeck floored me, I had to ask Adam what he hit me with. He told me it was his left hook. So, after that, I kept my right up by my chin and my eyes open . . . and knocked him out. Valuev will be too slow to catch me like that - and I'm so fast he won't see my punches coming.'

Ruslan Chagaev beat him and he was only 6" 1" and i'd say Haye is better than Chagaev
but the shear size of the beast does have to be bit of a worry

yeah it was an awful fight though, they both stood around and didnt punch eachother for 12 rounds and the other guy nicked it, i think the other guys quickly went on to lose the title as well, valuev doesnt do anything he just stands around, i remember haye getting layed out by carl thompson, a guy that fought eubank at middle weight!!!! if this guy could punch he'd knock haye out of he ring, this will be a weird freak match with a lot of wrestling and booing from the crowed.

I thought Thompson fought Eubank at light-heavyweight or cruiserweight even?

valuev has improved significantly in his last couple of fights that i have seen, he had a solid jab and just didn't let the oppo get near him. Haye is reckless and made it look like really hard work against that truly awful boxer that was his stepping stone to this fight. i'd go 4/6 valuev 1/1 haye.
