I shoved obv
He had KK obv
I went out obv
BTW this wasn't me- it was AutobetKev- we had a huge argument about how he played the hand.
You was or was not in this hand?
Was not.
I was at the table.
I rang him afterwards to say he was a spewtard. He told me that he played the hand perfectly based on the player (he plays there a lot more than me)
We exchanged words! lol

check call > open shove
he has 3600 more with a pot of over 7k, this is not the time to try and worry about maximising your c/ev. Pushing here gets two overs to fold sometimes getting almost 3/1, which is a result $evwise, and any hand you lose to, you call when you check anyways. open shoving is defo better then c/c in this spot, although the fact that you get urself in this spot in the first place is likely the thing you would want to look at before anything else.

OK, it was me that played the hand that George has described.
Firstly, are you advocating that I should have folded
pre flop from the cut off on a 7 handed table, with 6800 and the blinds about to go up to 300/600?
Secondly, once raised, I obviously had 3 choices, and I decided that I had just about enough FE to stop and go (lets try not to be results orientated, as we now know the villain had KK, lol). I had decided he had 2 big cards, therefore the flop wasn't a bad one for me to get him off his overs....

I think the line I would take is as follows:
Raise/fold
Shove
Fold pre

Stop and go doesn't work here because once he 3-bets you pre he shoves 95% of flops.
I'm fine with the open pre but no matter what your perceived image of him is, live players just don't 3-bet wide enough pre to consider shoving (or anything else) here. Fold.

i fold to the 3 bet most of the time, 4 bet shove occasionally depending on history & wouldn't call/attempt a stop'n'go with so little behind.
5700 is still ok to get busy with in these fast paced events altho i'd prob be open shoving from here on in.

I'm only fine with the open if we are committed to this pair, although I prefer what Totalise said about open shoving being better. I think it's generally a poor mentality to get all wishy washy playing a small stack and think you can open and then fold into some better life as an even smaller stack. I don't agree that 'live' players 3-bet tight in this situation. Last time hero opened from late pos villain saw him table 3-5 and the last hand vs this villain hero 4-bet folded with half his stack out there. Hero looks like he opens light, will fold under pressure, and could be tilting. Guess what, hero is opening light and is vulnerable to pressure if he hasn't already committed to the hand he's decided to play. I don't like peeling one bit.

I hate raise/folding with <20bbs, especially when the blinds are gonna increase quite heavily by the next time we see the button.
Stop and go doesnt fold out anything that had us beat pre.......

I pretty much fold pre every time here. Only other option for me is to push pre, but not keen on that.
