Shit, he did lead out... this is why I leaned more towards a call.

I have confused this hand with another. He definitely did lead out on the river.

Which is interesting, because you are all correct to say calling a check raise is bad (and I've done it before so I'll kick my arse for that as well too) but with this new dynamic is it as bad a call? (It's still bad)

I think the call is worse now.

"Any Jack makes a straight with this river but I can’t put him on that as easily - what hand that includes a Jack would he call me with on the flop? Maybe pocket jacks but they would surely have raised pre-flop? A suited jack (clubs) will find a call and then another one obviously once the King on the turn gives him an up and down straight draw"

What about QJ J10 KJ AJ J9 J8 J7....I think his range has a lot of hands with a jack in on this board!!

With regards to the hand, i cant work out if you were check raised or re-popped his river bet but either way its not a good spot to start getting all the money in when you haven't used your opportunities to do so on previous streets. Especially when your sure the guy cant fold anything thats even half connected with the flop.

PS I also got slowrolled by one of those Chinese guys on your table on Sunday, next time right jab to the temple should do the trick.

Didn't enjoy the slowroll much but didn't get angry with him because I was more angry with myself for playing the hand like a rank amateur.. I have played some awful hands in the last few days where I just give people an opportunity to get lucky on me and then I just hand them over my money on the river on a silver platter. As I said, time for a break. Whether I can stick to that is another matter.

LOL! Ahhh that was a beautiful spot! What great memories! Forgot all about that one. Had a similar one tonight that ended in tears tho...

Gets raised to £10 from EP i call with  , 3 callers behind and the rock in the SB makes it £40 from a £500 stack, original raiser folds, i call with the knowledge that Agy is one of the limpers who is deffo also calling to give me valuuuuueeee (he does).

before the flop i have the hand all set up in my head, "its gonna come 67X rock will lead enough to be commited and ill stack him"

Sure enough...BOOOOM 67J rainbow... Rock SHOVES!!! snap him off and board runs out 44 to make his  gooooooooooooooood  bad beat yawn

Bye Bye £1,000

The moral of this story is, F*uck you Mr Bean

(i am aware i now owe 50p)
